    Milk Poetry - Bristol

 Performance Event

    133 St Michael's Hill,  Bristol

This month featuring Sara Hirsch and Tom Denbigh.

Sara Hirsch has published two full length poetry collections: ‘Still Falling’ with Burning Eye Books and most recently ‘Louder Than Words’ with BX3, which was endorsed by Michael Rosen. Sara recently graduated with distinction with a master’s degree in Creative Writing & Education. She runs Genesis Slam, London’s only regular 3 round slam, is working on her third collection ‘The State of Being Useful’ and is attempting to gradually dismantle the patriarchy, one poem at a time.

Tom Denbigh loves poetry almost as much as he loves dogs. When asked why he has not yet written about dogs his reply was simply: "I am unworthy". He has won multiple slams and is a regular on the Bristol poetry scene. He came second in the national Hammer and Tongue poetry slam 2017. Tom is currently doing a PhD on roots and soil loss and really enjoys horrendous puns, hence if you ask him about his "ground-breaking" research, he'll "soil" himself with delight.

Performing as well for your pleasure will be last months Spooky Slam WInner the fantastic Tom Sastry. He's brilliant, you're gonna love him ok?

There is also the audience-voted-for slam.
