Modern Poetry in
Translation seeking 
submissions of
Caribbean poetry. 


Spring 2018's issue of Modern Poetry in Translation will focus on poetry from the Caribbean


 would love to read new translations from all the languages of the Caribbean: Spanish, French, Dutch, Papiamento and Haitian Creole, as well as poems in English Creoles. 

Please submit for the Caribbean focus by January 22nd 2018.

A few reminders: They only publish translations of poetry (and not original English-language poetry) and the translations must be previously unpublished. They welcome work from any age, but we have a preference for contemporary work. 

You are welcome to send submissions of up to six poems. You must be able to obtain rights for the reproduction of these translations both in MPT and online on our site. Modern Poetry Translations pay a fee to their contributors.
