MAG Poetry Prize 2010 - Deadline Approaching
The MAG Poetry Prize 2010 is flying along!
Entry is £6 per poem, but the prize fund accumulates @£2.00 per entry (up to £10,000 maximum)
1st Prize - 50%, 2nd Prize - 25%, 3rd Prize - 15%, 4th Prize - 10%
This is a genuine anonymous peer review system. In the first round entries are each read 11 times, in the second round 39 times and the final shortlisted poems are read by everyone (actual figures from last year's competition). No friends voting for friends. Tough to win - but the process is interesting and great fun. This is our second year - the feedback from those that took part last year was very positive and we raised £310 for MAG's humanitarian work clearing landmines and other remnants of conflict.
