Freelance Work Opportunity Knowing Me, Knowing You is a HLF Young Roots Bristol project led by Bristol City Council that aims to bring together a group of inner-city Muslim young people and a group of pupils from Hengrove Art College to explore issues of identity, faith and culture. The young people will share an understanding of their own and each others' cultural identities through visiting cultural venues and producing an art installation. Freelance Project Co-ordinator: �6k (30 days) Job aim: to co-ordinate the Heritage Lottery Fund project Knowing Me, Knowing You. Responsible to: Bristol City Council Libraries Outreach Officer. Main responsibilities To develop a strong partnership with Bristol City Council Cultural Services and youth group partners of this project. To ensure a good relationship develops between the partners and the artist in residence. To ensure that the project is delivered to time, within budget, monitored and evaluated. To co-ordinate research visits to centres of culture in collaboration with the artist in residence. To co-ordinate an exhibition at a central venue in Bristol for showcasing the work researched and created by young people. Experience (Essential) Experience of developing cultural, heritage-related projects. Experience of working with a freelance artist. Experience of planning and co-ordinating projects, managing budgets and working in partnership. Experience (Desirable) Experience of working with young people from Muslim and other culturally diverse communities.
