A BLINDING BOLLYWOOD BASH PERFORMANCE POETRY SLAM!
Following an egg-stremely egg-cellent night back in March, ‘Stanza Room Only’ – the only regular performance poetry night in Gloucestershire – is back for the fourth time!
This time there is a new co-host – the tantalisingly talented Jimmy Jangles!
This Performance Poetry Slam night will include all forms of exciting and varied poetry – the more unique and interesting the better!
For those who are still slam virgins here’s how it works:
There are three rounds.
The first round will have a maximum of 15 great poets/ rappers performing their own work for 3 minutes or less (strict time limitations will be applied). There will be four groups of 3 or 4 poets.
The poet with the most scores from each of the four mini rounds plus the top overall runner up will go through to the semi final.
The five poets will then compete for a place in the final.
The top two will then battle it out in the final for a chance to be crowned Slam champion and be awarded with prizes and glory.
* Please note that the poets should perform a different poem in each round.
