David Johnson is a witty and quirky performance poet, who mixes his

that we live in combined with a wry commentary on change and progress.
Featuring invited poets Baljinder Bhopal, Bertel Martin and Edson Burton reading their poems, plus music from Mike Scott and a Favourite Poem Slam, together with an opportunity for budding local poets to read their own work.
The Favourite Poem Slam : David invites you to bring along your favourite
poem by any poet to read to the audience, or if you are too shy, one of the poets
at the event will read it for you. The audience will be asked to vote for the
poem they liked best. (Please note: there will be a maximum of 10
contenders so first come, first served.)
Are you a budding poet? Then come and join us! There will be an
opportunity for budding poets to read one of their own poems. (Please note: there
will be a maximum of five new poets, so first come, first served.)
