Tim King has been a regular at Poetry Island since 2010. His work ranges from the comically absurd to the deeply personal and has been featured in online magazines and anthologies including 'I Am Not A Silent Poet', 'Symmetry Pebbles' and Poetry Island's own 'Walnut Crackers'. Over the years Tim has won several slams in the South West including the prestigious Oxjam Slam in Totnes and the Exeter Poetry Festival Slam. In addition to co-hosting and organising both the monthly Taking the Mic event at the Exeter Phoenix and the annual Exeter Slam, Tim performs regularly at poetry events and festivals across the region including; Uncut, Hammer & Tongue, the Cheltenham Literary Festival and WOMAD. He is currently developing a new show around the fabulously unfunny subject of Arctic Sea Ice loss. Tim has a cat called Wilbur and insists he doesn't want any trouble.
