Maggie Sawkins is the founder of Portsmouth poetry and music club, Tongues & Grooves. Her poetry collections include Charcot’s Pet (Flarestack), The Zig Zag Woman (Two Ravens Press) and Zones of Avoidance (Cinnamon Press). She lives in Portsmouth where she's involved in writing projects in community and health care settings.
