Cecilia Knapp
Writer, performer, poet and facilitator, Cecilia has been performing her spoken word for over 4 years, headlining at some of the UK’s most popular poetry nights, such as Bang Said the Gun, where she also held a residency in November 2014. She was mentored by acclaimed writer Polarbear for a year as part of the Roundhouse’s prolific poetry scheme and is now a Roundhouse Resident Artist, supported by the organisation to make work. She has toured the festival circuit, taking 3 spoken word shows to the Edinburgh Fringe, and sharing her work on stages at Bestival, Secret Garden Party and Wilderness. Her words have been played on BBC radio 1 and 1Xtra, XFM and Roundhouse Radio and she has been published in several anthologies. More recently, she was commissioned by the BBC to write a piece of poetry to be showcased on iplayer in May 2015. Her debut Spoken Word play, Finding Home premiered at the Roundhouse this year, as well as at several festivals both in the UK and internationally.

Joshua Ward
Joshua Ward began on this earth as a caesarian and has never quite lost the accent. First taking on a drama degree, he consolidated his unemployablity by beginning his adventure as a poet and by taking on a masters in Radio Production.

Joshua Ward is a gentle poet with depths you can't quite imagine, like the combination between a pasty and a flan...such life and wantonness are glittering off his swooshing hands and his energy is crackling like pork chops on Sundays.
When Josh is not performing, he can be found fondling squirrels, exploring on his motorbike and secretly pretending he can make magic fireballs in his hands when no-one's looking...and I have to say he does passing out very well and should passing out be an Olympic sport, he would be our best chance for a medal.

and Donna Jones
Dubbed 'the Yorkshire Terrier of Poetry' Donna began writing poetry from the age of 11 as a way of coping with family mental illness. Not one to shy away from difficult life issues she worked with vulnerable and 'at risk' young people in Sheffield for 35 years using her creative arts skills to encourage their own unique voices and life experiences.
Many of her poems give breath to the 'underbelly of the world'- sex trafficking, domestic violence, substance abuse and mental illness as well as the absurdities we encounter on a daily basis.
