Poetry School MA in Writing Poetry open for applications

MA in Writing Poetry open for applications

The Poetry School are delighted to announce that their MA in Writing Poetry in collaboration with Newcastle University is now open for applications.

The two year course starts in September 2015, and you can study in one of two centres: the Poetry School’s Lambeth Walk classrooms in London, or at Newcastle University itself. Both groups of students will come together for an annual joint Summer School, alternating between London and Newcastle.

This new MA is unique in that it is firmly rooted in the publishing, performing and promoting poetry world. You will be working with established poets:

Roddy Lumsden (London)
Clare Pollard (London)

Bill Herbert (Newcastle)
Sean O’Brien (Newcastle)

You will also receive tuition from guest tutors from the Poetry School and Newcastle University teaching communities.

Since 1997 when the Poetry School was founded, students participating in our courses and workshops have become active, creative members of a national poetry community. The addition of a Masters degree to our programme offers a previously unavailable level of formal accreditation of poetic talent.

Full details on how to apply can be found on the Poetry School Campus website www.campus.poetryschool.com
