Don Paterson adds the Costa Poetry Award 2015 for 40 Sonnets to his previous Whitbread Poetry Award, Geofrey Faber Memorial Award, three Forward Prizes, two T S Eliot prizes and The Queens Gold Medal for Poetry.
The collection is described as “A tour de force by a poet at the height of his powers - these poems buzz with life and intelligence. The stand-out collection of the year.”
40 Sonnets is also shortlisted for the T Eliot Prize 2015, the results of which will be announced later in the month.
