   Louisa Adjoa Parker is a Westcountry poet, who writes about her experiences as a mixed heritage woman.
She is the daughter of a British mother and Ghanaian father, and was born in the UK. She has lived most of her life in the South West of England. Her collection Salt-sweat and Tears was published by Cinnamon Press in 2007. Her work explores themes of identity, landscape, home, belonging, single parenthood, racism, loss amongst others. Her poem 'Rag Doll' was highly commended by the Forward Prize 2007.
Louisa has performed at a range of venues, and supported the legendary Linton Kwesi Johnson at Exeter Respect 2008.
