Poetry London Competition 2014 (deadline 2nd May)
The Poetry London Competition 2014 is now open.
The Poetry London Competition, now in its fifteenth year, has become one of the most highly-regarded in the country,
attracting many hundreds of entries from across the UK and abroad. We are pleased to announce that we have invited
the distinguished poet Michael Symmons Roberts to judge the 2014 competition. Previous judges have included
Pascale Petit (2013), Neil Astley (2012), Paul Farley (2011), Michael Longley (2010), and Don Paterson (2009).
Michael Symmons Roberts' judge’s report and the winning poems will be published in the Autumn ’14 issue of Poetry London.
POETRY LONDON COMPETITION 2014
The Poetry London Competition 2014 is now open for entries. This year the judge will be Michael Symmons Roberts.
Winners will receive the following prizes:
First Prize £1000
Second Prize £500
Third Prize £200
plus publication in Poetry London
Four commendations will be awarded, of £75 each
Entries must be in English, your own unaided work, and not a translation of another poet.
Entries must not have been previously published, in print or online. The maximum length is 80 lines.
Entry fee is £3 per poem for Poetry London subscribers, for non-subscribers £5.
