National Poetry Day call for short poems about 'light'

National Poetry Day

Liz Brownlee has arranged an event at Waterstones, Broadmead, Bristol, to celebrate National Poetry Day and its theme this year, which is ‘light’.

She is hoping to send a beam of light poems as far round Waterstones as it is possible in two to three days, to get publicity for poetry, and encourage as many people as possible to add to the beams by writing a line, thought or poem onto a flag.

There'll also be three giant magnetic boards with ‘light’ words to inspire everyone and draw them into composing.

Liz is asking for submissions of short poems on the subject of ‘Light’ to add to the bunting beams.
Poems should be sent to poetliz@mac.com or brownlees@btopenworld.com.
For further info, contact Liz at one of the above email addresses.
