TS Eliot Prize Shadowing competition (deadline 16th Dec)

As part of the T S Eliot Prize, there is an exciting competition for individual ‘A’ level (or equivalent) students

to write the best 500 word rationale for their choice of poet to shadow.

The deadline for entries is 16 December, and the winner will scoop three tickets to the T S Eliot Prize Readings and the

Award Ceremony in January 2014, with the chance to meet the winning poet, and a complete set of the 10 shortlisted titles.

2014 Cardiff International Poetry Competition open for entries (deadline 14th March 2014)

The 2014 Cardiff International Poetry Competition is now open for entries.

The competition offers one of the largest monetary prizes for a poetry competition of its kind.

First prize is £5,000. Additional prizes are £500 for second place, £250 for third and five runners-up receive £50 each.

All entries to the competition will be judged anonymously, so this is a great opportunity to have your poetry judged on its own merits.

The hard task of judging the 2014 competition will be down to award winning poets Lemn Sissay, Rhian Edwards

and filter judge Samantha Wynne-Rhydderch.

Awards will be delivered by March 25th which include:

The Poetry School/Pighog Press Pamphlet Competition 2013/14 (deadline 31st Jan 2014)
